I've Got Something to Say

I intended to start this blog years ago, but inspiration never struck. I'm days away from meeting my new daughter and, for some odd reason, now seemed like the most appropriate time to begin something new.

Why did I choose the name 'utility & futility'? The economic definition of utility is a measure of satisfaction and futility refers to, as we all know, frivolousness. I hope that this blog becomes a place to share updates on my family, friends and home. A place to share with you people, places and things that inspire me and, of course, the randomness that goes on in my head. I do hope that you enjoy!
